Privacy Policy

Overview

EZAutoList is a Chrome browser extension that helps automotive dealership professionals scrape vehicle listings and post them to Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

EZAutoList is operated by Simon (contact: support@ezautolist.com). This is a subscription-based tool sold exclusively to licensed automotive dealership professionals.

Data We Collect

Account Data

• Email address — used to authenticate your account via Firebase Authentication
• Account plan and subscription status — stored in Firebase Firestore to verify your access level
• Authorized dealership domains — the list of websites your account is permitted to use the scraper on

Vehicle Data (stored locally on your device)

• Vehicle details scraped from dealership pages (year, make, model, price, VIN, photos, etc.)
• This data is stored in Chrome's local extension storage on your device only
• We do not transmit your scraped vehicle data to any server

Usage Data

• We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or behavioral data

How We Use Your Data

Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google) — We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore to manage user accounts. Google's privacy policy.

AI Description Service — Vehicle descriptions are generated using a secure, server-side AI service. Only vehicle specs (year, make, model, trim, mileage, etc.) are sent to generate listing text. No personally identifiable information is included.

Facebook Marketplace — When you choose to post a vehicle, the extension opens Facebook Marketplace and auto-fills the listing form on your behalf. The extension does not access your Facebook credentials or store Facebook data.

Craigslist — Same as above — the extension opens Craigslist and auto-fills the posting form. No Craigslist credentials are stored.

Data Storage & Retention

• Account data is stored in Firebase and retained while your account is active
• Vehicle data is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device
• You can delete all local vehicle data at any time via the "Clear All" button in the extension

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as necessary to operate the services described above.

Your Rights

• Access — You can view all stored data via Chrome's extension storage inspector
• Deletion — Use "Clear All" in the extension, or uninstall to remove all local data
• Account deletion — Contact support@ezautolist.com to have your account removed from Firebase

Children's Privacy

This Extension is intended for professional use by adults employed in the automotive industry. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
